TOYOTA Philharmonic Concept 2013

The Toyota Classics, the annual philanthropic fund-raiser featuring the best classical music orchestras, conductors and soloists from around the world, will return with its 22nd edition this November.

Organized by UMW Toyota Motor, this year’s edition will feature the North Czech Philharmonic Teplice under the baton of world-renowned conductor Maestro Charles Olivieri Munroe with soloist Manuel Blanco on trumpet.

The Toyota Classics programme represents the philanthropic pillar of UMW Toyota Motor’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. The programme is believed to be among the longest running classical music fund-raisers in the country, having been held for over 20 years. In that time, a total of close to RM7 million has been raised from ticket sales each year, benefiting more than
50 charitable organizations and NGOs. The one-night performance of the Toyota Classics 2013 will be held on November 12 at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in Kuala Lumpur with the aim of raising RM335,000 for the Society
for the Advancement of the Blind, the Malaysian Federation of the Deaf and the Malaysian Liver Foundation.

Tickets are priced at RM220, RM170, RM120 and RM60, and can be purchased from the Box Office at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, Suria KLCC.
