Golf Tournament 2007

As part of Pharmaton Division (Diethelm Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.), to assist the Malaysian Liver Foundation (MF) to achieve its objectives in raising public awareness of hepatitis and other liver ailments, Pharmaton DIVISION (Diethelm Malaysia Sdn. Bhd) and Kelab Golf Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (KGSAAS) jointly organized the KGSAAS Charity Golf Tournament in aid of the MLF, on 2nd December 2007. The event, organized for the sixth consecutive year, was held at KGSAAS and sponsored by Cross Creek, Srixon Sports Asia, CIT Golf, Jiu Zhou Press, Fly Emirates, Cannon Marketing, Myrelo, Hitachi Sales and Isomax.

 

The Tournament attracted a good number of 140 golfers, comprising their club members as well as the public, who turned up for the tee-off, and most importantly Y.Bhg. Tun Mohammed Hanif B. Omar, MLF’s Trustee, who participated as well. The amount collected was RM63,400.00 and the sponsors raised the amount to RM70,000 at the prizing giving ceremony.

 

Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Paduka (Dr.) Hajjah Saleha Bte Hj. Mohd Ali, Trustee of the Malaysian Liver Foundation (MLF) contributed a further sum of RM5,000.00 in memory of her late son Zubir Mohd Zain.

 

The total sum raised at the Tournament after expenditure stood at RM76,204.40.

 

Ms Ung, Pharmaton Division Manager and Mr Gary Ng, Executive Director of KGSAAS presented a mock cheque to Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Paduka (Dr.) Hajjah Saleha Bte Hj. Mohd Ali and Dr Tan Soek Siam, MLF’s Executive Member, who represented the President of MLF. Golfers, who were proclaimed as winners for attractive hole-in-one prizes, received their prizes from the sponsors at the Prize Giving Ceremony.

 

The monetary contribution raised from the tournament would assist the MLF to carry out its important role in the prevention, treatment and cure of liver, gall bladder and pancreatic diseases.
