The 4th International Health Fair 2007, a health fest themed “Visit Malaysia 2007 – A Healthy Nation” was organized by Life Publishers Berhad, and supported by the Health Ministry and various health-related NGOs, at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) from 23 – 25 November 2007. The Malaysian Liver Foundation (MLF) was invited to participate as an exhibitor and offered a complimentary booth at this international health fair.

The Opening Ceremony of the 4th International Health Fair 2007 was officiated and launched by Y.B. Datuk Ong Tee Keat, Deputy Minister of Higher Education Malaysia on 23 November 2007, at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur. This was followed by the presentation of certificate of appreciation to sponsors and NGOs, a tour of the exhibition booths, a press conference and finally ended with refreshment.

The fair was aimed at educating the public on the Government’s appeal to cultivate a healthier lifestyle and create a better understanding related to health issues, as well as providing latest information on health. This health fair showcased healthcare products, services, and food from 100 exhibitors in about 150 booths. Visitors to the booth were invited to attend educational talks on health issues.

The event provided the MLF with an avenue to distribute useful information leaflets pertaining to the prevention and management hepatitis A, B & C and other hepatobiliary diseases, to exhibit informative posters about liver diseases, and also to highlight to the public on the roles and activities carried out by the Foundation.
